  22. If you cruise the internet or send and receive e-mail,
  23. you can't afford to be without The Cleaner!  One of the
  24. latest hazards to hit the net are "Trojan Horses" --
  25. destructive programs that masquerade as benign
  26. applications.  The term comes from a story in Homer's 
  27. Iliad, in which the Greeks give a giant wooden horse
  28. to their foes, the Trojans, ostensibly as a peace
  29. offering. But after the Trojans drag the horse inside
  30. their city walls, Greek soldiers sneak out of the
  31. horse's hollow belly and open the city gates, allowing
  32. their compatriots to pour in and capture Troy.

  36. Unlike viruses, Trojan Horses do not replicate themselves,
  37. but they can be just as destructive.  One of the most
  38. insidious types of Trojan is a program that claims to rid
  39. your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses
  40. onto your computer.  Another is the infamous "Back Orifice."
  41. As reported on ZD-Net, this trojan allows others on the
  42. internet to gain access to your computer and search and
  43. manipulate your hard-drive.

  117. The Cleaner will not remove the invalid directories created by DMSETUP2
  118. at this time.

  120. Before using The Cleaner to scan your system, we recommend disabling any
  121. virus scanners you might have running.  This will speed your Trojan scan
  122. and reduce the potential for conflicts.
